Not sure if you would want to try clear lacquer/glue/resin, also don't know how well it will stick. If you hit it heavily it will still crack and scratch but you could possibly polish it and apply more.Will have to be careful about getting it in the threads of the frame and any other moving bits.Probably wouldnt worry about it because you have skating to do
